the guilt of a word.

the guilt of a word misspoken

can hold you down for long

if not cautious enough

you would soon realize that

something unintentional

spoken out of naivete so

can cause unseen cracks and gloomy clouds

causing you many a sleepless nights

and making it hard for you to smile

its hard to bear especially when

your own words echo louder in silence,

deeper in your conscience than anyone else’s

a simple mistake, or a wrong choice of time

can ruin what you built over years on the line

and thus having ruined a precious bond

you stand helpless and desolate

and alienated as dry particles of sand.
